How is your Scalp health?

A healthy scalp equals healthy hair; you can’t have one. The three basic requirements for a healthy scalp are cleanliness, moisture and stimulation.
Keep the scalp clean. Clean, fresh follicles free of build-up are optimum for hair growth and scalp health.
Gently massage the scalp with a little bit of oil for 10 – 15 minutes every night, this will help dilate blood vessels beneath the skin, encouraging hair growth.
Your scalp contains oil glands that produce sebum, a natural oil that lubricates the hair strand as it grows. Sebum is essential for healthy, moisturized hair. If this oil is stripped from the scalp, your hair will be dry and less manageable.

So what does an unhealthy scalp look like?
An unhealthy scalp is characterized by dryness, flaking, itching or excessive build-up. The hair may break easily, fall out or the texture of the hair may change.

Here’s a home remedy for fixing an unhealthy scalp.
Mix 2 to 4 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar with 16 ounces of water.
After shampooing and conditioning, pour the mixture over your hair evenly, working into your scalp.
Let it sit for a couple of minutes.
Rinse it out.

Or you can use our hair mask followed by a double cleanse with our gentle exfoliating shampoo.
